Responsibilities

Design and prepare site development plans using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and other design tools for a range of projects, from residential subdivisions to commercial and institutional developments, and occasionally municipal
Utilize HydroCAD to develop effective stormwater runoff models and design stormwater management systems to MADEP standards
Navigate the local and state permitting process, prepare reports, and present projects at public meetings
Conduct site visits and monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with regulations and design specifications
Prepare and present reports and applications at public meetings detailing proposed designs, environmental benefits, and other pertinent information
Observe project sites and monitor progress of construction to ensure work conforms to applicable standards, regulations, and design specifications
Collaborate with the team on business development, proposal writing, and project planning
Work with staff on new business development, weekly work assignments, proposals, and invoicing

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
Current Massachusetts PE license (or be able to obtain registration within 18 months of employment)
10+ years of experience in site design, grading, drainage, and permitting in Massachusetts
Must be proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D & HydroCAD
Strong knowledge of stormwater hydrology/hydraulics and land development permitting
Working knowledge of land surveying techniques and construction administration
Ability to work with clients, town boards, cooperating subs, and other project-related parties to maintain smooth project management
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a dynamic team environment
Excellent communication and project management skills
Self-directed, organized, and self-motivated to accomplish goals

Preferred

Soils Evaluator Certificate and Septic Design Experience a plus
Massachusetts residency preferred
