Responsibilities
Prospect and develop new accounts within assigned territory
Develop new sales leads, quote customers, and provide technical support
Develop strong relationships and collaborate with distributors and purchasing contacts, as well as engineering and other departments
Establish sales forecasts and secure sales orders according to goals
Participate in industry tradeshows
Educate customers on products, proper application of products, and assist them with product selection
Assist customers with service requests
Work with minimal supervision
Qualification
Required
Candidate must reside in one of the sales territories: Grand Rapids, MI; Chicago, IL
Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships
Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong work ethic
Willingness to travel to visit customers
Strong communication and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to initiate, negotiate, and complete sales orders
Excellent customer relations skills to prepare and deliver formal presentations
Technical knowledge to work with Microsoft Office and CRM software, such as Zoho
Bachelor's Degree in related fields, or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in outside sales
Preferred
Manufacturing and machine tool application experience
Technical experience with machine tools and related equipment
Industrial Equipment: 3 years
Field Sales: 3 years
Willingness to travel: 75%
