Responsibilities

Prepare and interpret annual long-range enrollment projections by school and grade level
Monitor city and county growth data, population forecasts, and land use referrals
Analyze space needs to accommodate projected growth or decline
Develop and maintain data related to feeder patterns, capacity, utilization, and facility profiles
Apply statistical models to historical enrollment data to identify trends
Research and analyze choice/open enrollment impacts on attendance areas
Collaborate with IT to produce one-year and five-year enrollment projections
Support district short- and long-range planning efforts and planning sub-committees
Provide planning expertise to district leadership, staff, and community stakeholders
Participate in public meetings related to growth, demographics, and school boundaries
Coordinate with municipalities, regional planners, and community partners
Review residential development referrals and assess impacts on district infrastructure
Maintain and support Intergovernmental Agreements (IGAs), including PILO agreements

Required

Bachelor's degree in urban planning or a related field
At least five years of experience working in a public planning or public facilities environment
Experience working with demographic data, forecasting, or planning in a local government setting
Criminal background check and valid U.S. driver's license required

Preferred

Experience in a K-12 education environment
Experience working with or presenting to elected officials or governing boards
Professional certifications such as AICP or GISP
