Responsibilities
Own and manage end‑to‑end release cycles for large, multi‑program technology initiatives involving hundreds of contributors across engineering, QA, product, architecture, and operations
Serve as the primary authority on Release Management, clearly articulating past experience, specific contributions, and best practices
Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on release scope, timelines, dependencies, and risk mitigation
Partner with technology leadership to design and implement the future‑state Release Management Framework
Establish scalable processes for release planning, readiness assessments, approvals, and deployment governance
Identify opportunities to streamline and modernize release workflows, tooling, and reporting
Ensure strong adherence to SDLC standards across hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery models
Maintain rigorous traceability from requirements through deployment, ensuring compliance with financial‑services regulatory expectations
Oversee defect tracking, triage processes, and quality gates to ensure release integrity
Qualification
Required
8+ years of Release Management experience within large-scale enterprise technology environments
Demonstrated experience managing releases across programs with 500+ contributors
Deep understanding of SDLC, release governance, traceability, and defect management
Strong experience in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments
Proven ability to articulate specific contributions and leadership in past Release Management roles
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and risk-mitigation skills
Experience working in regulated industries (financial services strongly preferred)
Experience designing or modernizing enterprise Release Management frameworks
Familiarity with enterprise-grade release and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Rally)
Background collaborating with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation teams
