Vice President Finance
Reach Recruiting is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead financial strategy and reporting for a growing portfolio of restaurants. This hands-on leadership role requires deep experience in restaurant finance, focusing on financial clarity, accountability, and profitability while partnering closely with ownership and operations.
Responsibilities
Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting for a multi-unit restaurant portfolio
Build scalable financial models to support new restaurant openings, capital deployment, and ROI analysis
Serve as a strategic partner to ownership on growth decisions, debt/equity structuring, and capital raises
Provide clear, actionable financial insights directly tied to operational performance
Own restaurant-level P&Ls, cash flow forecasting, and contribution margin analysis
Establish and monitor KPIs including food cost, beverage cost, labor, prime cost, and store-level EBITDA
Partner with Operations to identify margin improvement opportunities without compromising guest experience
Support pre-opening budgets, opening capital tracking, and post-opening performance stabilization
Oversee all accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, month-end close, and financial reporting
Ensure accurate, timely monthly and quarterly financial statements across all entities
Maintain and optimize Restaurant365 as the core financial system
Strengthen internal controls, approval workflows, and reporting discipline as the company scales
Coordinate with external CPAs on tax planning, audits, and compliance
Prepare investor reporting packages, distributions, and performance updates
Support entity structuring, operating agreements, and deal-level financial reporting
Assist ownership with valuation analysis and long-term platform strategy
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance and accounting team
Establish best-in-class processes while remaining nimble and operator-friendly
Act as a calm, trusted financial leader during periods of rapid growth
Qualification
Required
5+ years of finance leadership experience in hospitality or restaurants
Deep understanding of multi-unit restaurant finance
Hands-on experience with Restaurant365
Proven experience supporting new restaurant openings and rapid growth
Strong grasp of unit economics, cost controls, and restaurant KPIs
Experience managing accounting teams and external partners
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
Preferred
Experience scaling a restaurant group from single-digit units to a multi-unit platform
Experience working with private investors or structured restaurant partnerships
Background in high-growth, founder-led hospitality companies
CPA, MBA, or similar credential (not required)
