Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive interior and exterior finish plans for residential builds, ensuring designs are aesthetically superior and functionally optimized
Produce high-accuracy design documentation for use in client presentations, purchasing, and onsite construction
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and company owners, translating abstract needs into executable, budget-conscious concepts
Partner with Architecture, Construction, and Purchasing departments to ensure design integrity throughout the project’s lifespan
Source materials, negotiate quotes with vendors, and coordinate with contracted labor to ensure the proper execution of designs
Stay at the forefront of residential construction trends and material costs to provide innovative, research-backed solutions to design challenges
Facilitate onsite meetings and site visits to ensure design implementation aligns with specifications
Qualification
Required
Expert-level knowledge of AutoCAD
Proficiency in Sketchup
Proficiency in BuilderTrend
Proficiency in standard productivity suites (G-Suite/Office)
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex architectural plan sets and specifications
In-depth understanding of residential construction practices, current trends, and cost dynamics
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design
3–5 years of professional experience in residential interior design for construction projects, with a proven track record of direct client interaction
