Confidential company is the world’s leading online retailer of pre-owned and vintage luxury watches, seeking a world-class Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to transform their brand into the most recognized name in luxury timepieces. The CMO will oversee the entire marketing ecosystem and partner closely with the CEO to shape the company's long-term direction and growth.

Responsibilities
Define and elevate the brand into the undisputed authority in pre-owned luxury watches
Craft and scale a powerful brand narrative rooted in trust, provenance, expertise, and aspiration
Lead global storytelling across digital, video, press, partnerships, events, and experiential initiatives
Establish the company and its leadership as thought leaders within luxury, collecting, and investment communities
Own PR, media, influencer, and partnership strategy at a global level
Architect and oversee a $4M+ annual marketing investment across paid media, search, shopping, social, affiliate, TV, and emerging channels
Own customer acquisition strategy, channel mix, and capital allocation with clear ROAS and profitability targets
Partner with the SEO organization to protect and expand one of the strongest organic visibility foundations in the category
Build scalable, sustainable growth engines that balance near-term performance with long-term brand value
Design and scale lifecycle marketing strategies that reflect the unique dynamics of high-consideration, high-value purchases
Elevate CRM, email, and SMS programs to drive meaningful increases in repeat purchase rates and customer lifetime value
Develop sophisticated audience segmentation and personalization strategies across collector profiles, brands, and buyer intent
Own the creative vision across all customer touchpoints — from product storytelling and editorial to video, social, and press
Ensure world-class creative standards, cohesive brand voice, and consistent design excellence across every channel
Build a content engine that reinforces authority, trust, and desire at scale
Build, lead, and evolve a high-performance marketing organization spanning paid media, content, social, lifecycle, PR, creative, and video
Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent, creating a culture that balances creativity, accountability, and executional excellence
Design the optimal internal structure and external agency partnerships to support growth and brand ambitions
Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the CEO, COO, and Head of Sales
Contribute to enterprise-level strategy including category expansion, international growth, and new business models
Own executive-level reporting, forecasting, and long-term marketing planning with clear visibility into ROI and impact
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with significant time at the executive level
Proven success scaling a $200M+ e-commerce or DTC business, ideally within luxury, premium, or high-consideration categories
Deep expertise in performance marketing, analytics, and growth strategy, paired with strong instincts for brand and storytelling
Demonstrated ability to build iconic brands through creative, PR, partnerships, and content
A track record of building and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, align, and inspire at the board and C-suite level
A leader who is both data-driven and creatively ambitious
