Application Engineer

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, document, and maintain application features and services
Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend business logic using .NET Core
Implement responsive, accessible, and user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
Utilize Entity Framework Core for efficient and secure data access
Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles and create comprehensive unit tests using industry-standard testing frameworks
Leverage GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted tools to enhance code quality and development efficiency
Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, QA, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and proper use of design patterns
Participate in code reviews, continuous integration, deployment activities, and agile ceremonies
Provides technical support to end-users, addressing and resolving application-related issues in a timely manner
Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements and implements solutions that enhance overall system performance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
3+ years of hands‑on experience in full‑stack software development – UNLESS Associate Level
Proficiency in .NET Core, C#, Entity Framework Core
Experience with cloud platforms and modern development frameworks
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular
Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and asynchronous programming
Familiarity with common software design patterns (MVC, Repository, Dependency Injection, Factory, Singleton, etc.)
Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit, MSTest) and Test‑Driven Development practices
Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI‑assisted development tools
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
