Intelligence Systems Electrical Hardware Design Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level)
The Boeing Company is looking for an experienced Intelligence Systems Electrical Hardware Design Engineer to join the Electrostatically Supported Gyro Navigator Replacement team located in Huntington Beach, California. The role emphasizes test and troubleshooting, as well as anomaly resolution of existing electrical/electronic hardware used in inertial navigation systems, while also supporting future design work.

Responsibilities
Analyze customer and system requirements to support architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products
Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into the design of electrical hardware products and systems
Test, debug, and integrate hardware into existing systems while meeting industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards
Integrate and troubleshoot hardware components with embedded software, FPGAs, IC chips, and discrete components
Develop and maintain acceptance test procedures to support production
Test, troubleshoot and provide rework statements of work to the Supplier
Support obsolescence management
Work within configuration management and procedure controls common to defense contracts
Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
Provide support input to aid EMI compatibility, signal integrity, and power integrity analysis and simulation models
Support the technical aspects of proposal preparation and project planning through schedule and budget estimations as well as make/buy recommendations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required
1+ years of experience in electrical hardware engineering development
Familiarity with multilayer mixed-signal circuits, sensors (especially navigation sensors), analog/digital conversion, firmware/FPGA programming including VHDL, and the use of test equipment
Experience with electronic analytic tools, Mentor graphics and performing product verification testing
Experience managing supplier assemblies and requirements
Demonstrated performance on development programs and the ability to resolve technical issues in complex environments
Ability to prepare and present briefings covering technical aspects of the position
Level 2: 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Active U.S. Security Clearance
Level 3: 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with Xilinx FPGA place/route tools
Proficient in digital logic design (gate-level & VHDL) and simulation
Experience with analog circuits, power supplies, and EMI protection devices
Experience in quality assurance and design validations
