Responsibilities
Create and maintain continuous point of sale (POS) and inventory data from The Home Depot’s interfacing data systems (Vendor Drill+/Askuity)
Use data to not only measure and report on sales for clients, but to identify trends and opportunities
Measure the success of promotions, monitor inventory levels, and work with appropriate personnel at The Home Depot to ensure stores are properly stocked
Provide sales and inventory forecasting
Use data to build a story to make effective recommendations to drive revenue
Interface with key counterparts at The Home Depot and suppliers
Manage project requirements, SOWS, timelines, etc. for the management of deliverables
Develop efficient work streams to provide internal and external clients with strong, insightful reporting
Qualification
Required
Advanced to expert MS Excel and Power BI skills required
Ability to apply industry best practices and data management competencies to improve products and/or processes
Experience in category management, sales analysis or retail management utilizing retailer databases to extract, analyze, interpret and report on data
Fundamental understanding of point-of-sale data, turns, GMROI, item velocity, margin goals and calculation, evaluation promotional sell-thru, fill rates, and other service levels
A collaborative team player with a 'roll-up-your-sleeves' approach who is committed, diligent, accountable
An independent self-starter with excellent prioritization and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Home Depot experience highly preferred, but not absolutely critical for the right candidate
Experience with other major retailers is also helpful such as Walmart and Lowe's, etc
