Responsibilities
Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimates for various entity types
Tax Compliance: Maintain tax calendars, track deadlines, and ensure adherence to all tax laws and regulations
Tax Research & Planning: Conduct research on complex tax issues, analyze tax treatments, and assist with tax planning to minimize liabilities
Audit Support: Assist with tax audits, prepare workpapers, and respond to inquiries from tax authorities like the IRS
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements for book-to-tax adjustments and identify discrepancies
Process Improvement: Recommend and implement procedures to enhance workflow and efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or corporate tax
Strong understanding of either corporate income tax or indirect taxes
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
CPA license or progress towards it is often preferred
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong Excel skills
