This role provides overall financial leadership, overseeing functions such as accounting, payroll, budgeting, and financial reporting while partnering with senior clinical and operational leaders.

Responsibilities
Direct all community-level finance activities, including general accounting, payroll operations, cash management, and internal financial controls
Ensure accurate preparation and submission of regulatory filings, cost reports, tax-related documentation, and compliance reporting
Lead the successful completion of annual external audits and ongoing internal reviews
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning for the community, including capital planning
Lead decision support functions such as cost accounting, service line performance analysis, and development of tools to monitor volume, productivity, and labor utilization
Provide executive-level financial analysis for strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and special projects
Serve as a trusted financial advisor to hospital leadership, senior executives, and operational teams
Translate complex financial data into actionable insights that support clinical and operational decision-making
Collaborate with system-wide finance teams to align community priorities with enterprise standards and initiatives
Build, lead, and develop high-performing finance teams across multiple functional areas
Promote strong financial discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
At least 5 years of senior-level financial leadership experience within a hospital or large healthcare organization
Demonstrated success leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy in complex environments
Executive-level expertise in healthcare finance and operations
Strong understanding of reimbursement models, payer dynamics, and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to communicate financial performance and strategy to senior leadership and boards
Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across clinical and operational teams
Preferred
CPA strongly preferred
Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Healthcare Administration preferred
Experience supporting revenue cycle optimization is a plus
