Responsibilities
Evaluating, recommending, and helping procure specialized hardware, software, and laboratory equipment
Building, configuring, and maintaining technology used in departmental offices and research labs
Developing tools such as financial dashboards and other data-driven solutions to streamline administrative and scientific workflows
Analyzing and resolving complex technical issues, designing programs or queries to improve processes, and applying fact-finding and systems knowledge to address both business and research needs
Managing and updating department website, providing training to faculty, staff, and students on equipment and software, supporting the adoption of new technologies including AI-assisted data mining, and offering guidance to support personnel needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or other field involving software and analytical training and one year of IT related work experience
Bachelor's degree with no specific required field and two years of IT related work experience
Master's degree and one year of IT related work experience
Combination of five years of IT related work experience and validated training
Preparation for a relevant IT certification is considered to be related training
