National Account Manager

Total Retail Group is seeking a National Account Manager responsible for leading and growing assigned client accounts. The role involves day-to-day client management, program execution, and cross-functional coordination to drive sales growth and strengthen retailer and client relationships.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, owning day-to-day execution and performance
Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and proactive problem-solving
Partner cross-functionally with Senior Management, Field Operations, Customer Service, Analytics, and Reporting teams
Identify growth opportunities and collaborate with sales leadership to drive incremental revenue
Analyze sales, inventory, and execution data to inform recommendations and performance improvements
Lead recurring client calls, providing updates, addressing concerns, and aligning on priorities
Conduct store visits independently or with clients to support planning and execution
Support special projects, training initiatives, or program launches as needed
Provide weekend support during peak program or retail blitz periods when required

Required

Bachelor's degree required - In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience may be considered
3–7 years of experience in retail, merchandising, consumer packaged goods, or related roles
Strong understanding of retail KPIs and metrics that influence merchant decision-making
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience working with proprietary systems for sales tracking, reporting, expenses, and performance management
Comfortable using remote business tools such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops

Preferred

Experience supporting or managing HQ-level retail or category accounts strongly preferred
Background in merchandising, buying, category management, account support, or sales analysis strongly considered
