Clinical Support Worker- Ward 10
Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit is seeking a Senior Clinical Support Worker for MV Ward 10 who is committed to providing outstanding care. The role involves assisting Registered Nurses in delivering nursing care, evaluating patient needs, and collaborating with healthcare teams to support patients and their families.

Responsibilities
Assist in the assessment of health care needs by undertaking assessment aspects that have been delegated by the registered practitioner and in completion of care documentation
At the direction of the Registered Nurse, participate fully in the delivery of planned nursing care and undertake specific Trust approved enhanced clinical skills such as care of PICC lines relevant to ward/department, having undertaken appropriate training and assessment
Assist the registered Nurse in the evaluation of care and completion of patient documents
Involve patients and carers/relatives in the delivery of care
Provide reassurance support to patients and carers/family and also work collaboratively with others in the day unit to ensure that patients and carers needs are met
Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
Qualification
Required
Essential to undertake NVQ 3 if not already completed
NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
Previous experience in health care setting as in or outpatients
Ability to communicate in a variety of settings with patients, carers and multi professionals
Understanding of quality and change in the clinical setting
Flexibility and team work
Basic IT skills
Phlebotomy
Understanding of the requirements of the role
Basic understanding of NHS issues
