Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of the firm’s accounting (A/R, A/P), budgeting, and financial reporting functions
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Oversee accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and vendor management
Monitor cash flow, profitability, and expense control
Partner with the executive team on business strategy, financial modeling, and long-term planning
Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure financial and operational performance
Provide financial insights to guide decisions on growth initiatives, acquisitions, technology investments, and hiring
Play a key role in profitability analysis and scenario modeling for strategic initiatives
Collaborate with compliance to ensure financial reporting aligns with SEC/FINRA regulatory requirements
Oversee internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard firm assets
Evaluate operational and financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Direct month-end closing of the General Ledger and prepare monthly financial statements
Assist with annual audits, cash management, regulatory reporting, tax filings, and other finance and accounting functions
Ensure bank account reconciliations are completed on a timely basis
Direct Accounts Payable and Payroll functions
Administer Treasury and Tax functions
Oversee Human Resources functions, including onboarding of new hires
Coordinate with third-party vendors for quality of earnings and other transaction diligence items
Prepare materials for Board of Directors meetings
Assist with the transition to and subsequent enhancement of the ERP system
Partner with the executive team on business strategy, profitability analysis, and long-term planning
Develop financial models and scenario analyses to guide strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and hiring decisions
Create and track KPIs to measure financial and operational performance
Provide insights and recommendations on scaling operations, optimizing costs, and supporting firm-wide growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar STEM-based major
7+ years of progressive experience in finance/accounting within an RIA, wealth management firm, asset manager, or financial services organization
Strong understanding of RIA business models, fee structures, and regulatory environment
Proven ability to serve as a trusted strategic partner with the vision to think broadly about the business and its long-term growth
Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and KPI development
Demonstrated ability to improve processes, implement systems, and scale infrastructure in a growing firm
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Experience within a smaller, rapidly growing firm is strongly preferred
Proficiency with portfolio accounting systems, CRMs, and Microsoft Excel/Power BI
