Responsibilities

Assist with facility set-up, including furniture and equipment for rentals, classes, and meetings, and ensure proper clean-up and storage
Serve as the on-site City contact, greeting the public, answering questions, and responding to renter concerns or inquiries
Monitor facility use to ensure compliance with health, safety, and rental policies, interpreting procedures as needed
Open and close facilities at multiple locations, operate as the person-in-charge, and provide shift reports, including financial summaries if required
Interact with renters, guests, staff, and supervisors, facilitating communication, assigning tasks to volunteers if applicable, and resolving conflicts using mature judgment
Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, moving equipment, and maintaining a professional appearance while working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Required

Demonstrates an understanding of program objectives, operations, supplies and needs
Demonstrates experience and/or familiarity with program operations
Demonstrates some experience in emergency procedures and safety protocols
May have taken classes or training courses in program area
Possess current American Red Cross certification, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and all guidelines outlined in Title 22 (may be obtained after employment)
Knowledge of activity theory and philosophy
Knowledge of activity/facility protocols
Knowledge of activity equipment and facility care and use policies
Knowledge of principles and practices of accurate money handling
Knowledge of city policies and procedures
Skill to possess CPR - First Aid - AED certification
Skill to provide basic staff training
Skill to develop and implement program marketing and promotion materials
Skill to determine problems and facilitate solutions
Skill to establish, facilitate and maintain effective working relationships
Skill to provide excellent customer service
Ability to develop program activities
Ability to interact with staff and outside agencies and contractors
Ability to provide leadership and direction for subordinate staff
Ability to coordinate resources
Ability to use mature judgment and resolve conflict
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to move and set up assigned program equipment and supplies
Ability to climb, squat, kneel, and sit on floor, as needed to accomplish job duties
Ability to assemble basic equipment, tools and supplies
Ability to operate tools and equipment
