The Indianapolis Colts are seeking a benefits specialist with generalist human resources experience. The People & Culture Specialist – Benefits will manage the comprehensive benefits program for the Club’s front office employees and provide administrative support to the People and Culture team.

Responsibilities

Serves as the primary internal and external point of contact for the organization’s comprehensive front office benefits programs
Protects the confidentiality of employee and organization data by strictly adhering to established security, privacy, and confidentiality requirements
Communicates the value of the benefits package through ongoing education, information sessions, and employee outreach
Leads the annual open enrollment process, including scheduling meetings, drafting instructions and guides, assembling materials, and collecting feedback
Proactively manages vendor relationships with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and benefits brokers
Monitors and analyzes benefits utilization and effectiveness to ensure optimal impact and cost efficiency
Researches, evaluates, and recommends value-added benefit offerings that exceed employee expectations while maximizing return on investment
Partners with the internal and external stakeholders to continually optimize benefits administration within the Dayforce HCM system
Creates ad-hoc reports requested by various internal and external stakeholders
Supports the People and Culture department by serving as the administrative point of contact for general HR inquiries and issues with professionalism and timeliness
Participates in employee engagement activations, initiatives, and events
Performs other duties to support departmental and organizational priorities as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or the equivalent in professional experience
3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, HR generalist roles, or related fields; sports industry experience is a plus, corporate experience is preferred
Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and tact
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to keep stakeholders informed
Growth-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Tenacious problem-solver with a high level of accountability and follow-through
Collaborative, service-minded team player who consistently places team success first
High emotional intelligence with excellent interpersonal skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to work effectively within a complex organization and support change initiatives
Working knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations
Ability to work full-time on-site at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center (Monday–Friday)
Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred

Hands-on experience managing open enrollment events is highly preferred
SHRM or PHR certification is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Canva experience is preferred
Administrator-level experience with HRIS/HCM systems is strongly preferred; Dayforce experience is a plus
