Marketing Manager - VU Rooftop

Atomic Hospitality is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead day-to-day marketing efforts for VU Rooftop, a high-visibility rooftop venue in Chicago. This role is responsible for planning and executing marketing initiatives that drive reservations, foot traffic, and event demand, while supporting long-term brand growth.

Responsibilities

Support the development and execution of seasonal, weekly, and event-driven marketing plans
Identify opportunities tied to tourism, conventions, weather patterns, and major Chicago events
Participate in regular planning and alignment meetings with venue leadership
Execute promotions across digital, email, and in-venue channels
Coordinate with designers, printers, photographers, and creative partners to ensure accuracy, brand alignment, and timely delivery
Manage project timelines from concept through launch
Manage the venue’s social media channels, including content planning, copywriting, scheduling, and engagement
Coordinate content capture during service, events, and peak hours
Work with influencers and content creators to support ongoing promotion
Maintain accuracy across the website, Google listings, OpenTable, and third-party platforms
Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategy as needed
Build and deploy weekly and event-specific email campaigns
Segment audiences and test content to improve engagement and conversion
Track performance and optimize future campaigns
Support promotion of weekly programming, DJs, special events, and private events
Collaborate with hotel partners and convention-adjacent stakeholders on joint promotions
Manage influencer visits, content expectations, and follow-up
Compile monthly performance reporting across social, email, web traffic, and reservations
Provide clear insights and recommendations to inform future marketing decisions

Required

2–5 years of marketing experience, preferably in hospitality, nightlife, entertainment, or events
Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing best practices
Experience managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, OpenTable, and Canva or Adobe tools
Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
Willingness to work nights and weekends as required for events and content capture
