Responsibilities
Provide end-to-end EDI data analysis, transactional support, error detection, and resolution for Exchange operations
Analyze and validate Medicaid 8001 transaction files
Review, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues , including MDM, MPI, and system-level discrepancies
Perform HBX system error analysis and support production issue resolution
Validate and reconcile 1095-A and 1095-B files and related EDI transactions
Analyze inbound and outbound EDI files exchanged with Carriers, MCOs, and external partners
Perform root cause analysis for EDI file rejections , including review of 999 and TA1 acknowledgment files
Coordinate with development, testing, business, and vendor teams to analyze, fix, test, and retransmit EDI files
Access databases and applications to perform SQL-based analysis and implement approved data fixes
Translate business requirements into EDI data solutions and technical fixes
Communicate effectively with IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners
Support production operations, including after-hours, weekend, or holiday work as needed
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience supporting Health Exchange or Healthcare Marketplace EDI solutions
4+ years of experience creating and analyzing EDI X12 transaction sets (834, 999, TA1)
4+ years of experience reviewing companion guides and implementation guides for healthcare EDI formats
4+ years of experience analyzing, testing, and delivering data solutions in healthcare environments
2+ years of experience working with SQL databases and queries
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
Preferred
6+ years of experience using EDI validation tools such as Edifecs, WTX, or equivalent
6+ years of experience with EDI transaction sets including 834, 820, 999, and TA1
2+ years of experience writing complex SQL scripts
Knowledge of Affordable Care Act (ACA) eligibility rules for Medicaid and Qualified Health Plans
Experience with Medicaid 8001 file processing or other inter-agency data exchanges
In-depth understanding of EDI 834 enrollment transactions, including adds, changes, terminations, cancellations, and error handling
