STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support large-scale data center and cloud network environments. This contract-to-hire role focuses on data center networking, hybrid cloud connectivity, automation, and enterprise application migrations within a complex infrastructure environment.

Management Consulting

Responsibilities

Design, operate, and support data center switching architectures using Cisco ACI and Arista EOS
Maintain Cisco ACI fabrics and lead integration of Arista-based solutions
Automate network operations using Python and Ansible
Design and manage AWS networking (VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, NLB, PrivateLink)
Support hybrid cloud connectivity using AWS Direct Connect
Design and troubleshoot network traffic flows to ensure high availability and performance
Support large-scale application migrations from legacy to software-defined environments
Perform network discovery, dependency mapping, and execute cutover plans with minimal downtime
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on enterprise network initiatives

Required

Strong expertise in data center networking
Cisco ACI (APIC, leaf-spine, EPGs)
Arista EOS (VXLAN/EVPN, CloudVision)
Proven experience integrating Cisco and Arista environments
Python and Ansible for automation
Solid experience with AWS networking, including: VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, NLB, PrivateLink, Route 53 Resolver
Experience with AWS Direct Connect and hybrid architectures
Hands-on experience supporting application migrations

Preferred

Experience in regulated or enterprise environments
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect or Advanced Networking)
CCIE certification
Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
Network monitoring tools (e.g., Observium)
Network discovery and integration experience
Wi-Fi networking experience
