Responsibilities
Performing technical lab assistance including data management and analysis, cell culture, RNA isolation and PCR, western blot, plasmid amplification and DNA purification, ELISA and IHC staining
Organizing and analysis of data using Excel or Photoshop
Maintaining a large colony of transgenic mouse models which would involve careful monitoring, genotyping and treatment protocols
Lab maintenance
Ensure compliance with general lab safety guidelines along with UK and government regulations
Keeping an accurate and detailed scientific notebook both hard copy and electronic

Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time; lifting and/or walking with light-weight objects, repetitive motion
Monday through Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm. Occasional evenings and weekends
Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Photoshop, basic wet lab skills, knowledge of UK and government guidelines and policies for lab compliance, ability to work effectively with mice
Preferred
Bachelor's degree with one or more years of related experience
