Washington Waldorf School seeks a detail-oriented, creative, and collaborative Assistant to the Director of Development to join their Development team. This role supports the school’s fundraising, community and alum engagement, as well as event initiatives.

Responsibilities

Support the planning, logistics, and execution of major fundraising and community events

Manage smaller development and community engagement events, including setup, communications, and follow-up

Collaborate with the Parent Faculty Organization (PFO), Festivals Committee, and other committees to plan and implement non-campaign events

Draft, edit, and proofread grant proposals and reports

Contribute to and create social media content creation to support community engagement and fundraising efforts

Provide day-to-day support to the Director of Development, including scheduling, communications, and project management

Assist the Database Coordinator with gift entry, reporting, and data management as needed

Support additional development office initiatives and special projects

Coordinate the dissemination of mailings and acknowledgement letters

Spearhead Alum Engagement Events

Collaborate on alum communication and giving strategy

Required

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Bachelor's Degree

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting professional communications

Event planning or project management experience, with an eye for detail and logistics

Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation

Collaborative and flexible team player, able to work across committees and departments
