Responsibilities
Design and develop reusable Python and Bash libraries, CLIs, and frameworks for firmware build, test, and regression automation
Integrate automation pipelines with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
Orchestrate nightly regression testing, including automated failure classification and dashboard reporting
Enable firmware developers with unit test harnesses, linting/formatting tools, and emulation adapters
Implement telemetry and ETL pipelines to track coverage, reliability, and performance KPIs
Collaborate closely with firmware, hardware, and ASIC teams to align validation strategies
Document automation standards, workflows, and best practices
Ensure compliance with IP protection, data security, and approved development processes
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in firmware or system test automation and validation
Expert proficiency in Python; strong Linux experience; Bash scripting; working knowledge of C/C++ for firmware hooks; PowerShell as needed
Hands-on experience with PyTest and/or Robot Framework
Strong background in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
Advanced CI/CD expertise, including pipelines-as-code, artifact management, secrets handling, and flaky test mitigation
Solid understanding of PCIe, NVMe, DMA, interrupts, and RTOS concepts
Experience debugging in lab environments using logic analyzers and protocol analyzers
Proven ability in log analysis, failure bucketing, and automated triage
Strong communication and technical documentation skills
Preferred
Experience with CMake or Bazel, cross-compilation, and artifact signing
Exposure to emulation and simulation environments (FPGA, QEMU) and pre-silicon validation flows
Data analysis experience using SQLite or PostgreSQL, Pandas, and visualization tools such as Grafana or Power BI
Familiarity with Docker and Ansible for reproducible development and lab environments
Prior experience in storage firmware or networking ASIC validation
