Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders to understand portfolio management processes, investment governance, project lifecycle needs, resource planning challenges, and reporting expectations
Translate these needs into functional requirements and Planisware configuration specifications
Conduct gap analyses, process mapping, and solution design for Planisware enhancements and new capabilities
Support change management, UAT coordination and post implementation reviews for all Planisware changes
Promote best practices and maturity advancement in portfolio management and Planisware utilization
Support definition of PPM standard processes (stage gating, project planning, activity-based forecasting, resource management)
Manage project delivery using Azure DevOps in a sprint-based Agile framework (sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
Coordinate cross-functional teams including Planisware Consultants (system configuration and customization), data engineering (data lake, ETL, data quality), PowerBI developers (report/dashboard creation), and business stakeholders (training, adoption, communication)
Track progress, manage risks/dependencies, and ensure deliverables meet both functional business needs and defined reporting/analytics objectives
Oversee data governance and quality within Planisware, ensuring accurate project, financial, resource, and portfolio data
Collaborate with reporting teams (e.g., Power BI, data engineering) to ensure Planisware data structures support enterprise reporting
Support validation of Planisware reports, dashboards, and portfolio views during releases and enhancements
Facilitate validation of reporting outputs during user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm business and analytical requirements are fully met
Build strong partnerships with cross functional teams to align priorities and ensure PPM needs are understood and championed
Develop and deliver user training, documentation, release notes, communications, and support materials
Facilitate user groups, feedback forums, and continuous improvement discussions
Support PMO governance activities by ensuring Planisware processes drive consistency and compliance
Qualification
Required
Strong business analysis skills with ability to translate business processes into PPM system functionality
Experience in project/portfolio management processes: project planning, financial management, resource management, stage gate governance
Understanding of Agile methodologies (proficiency with Azure DevOps is a plus)
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to manage complexity across diverse business, technical, and vendor teams
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Social/Physical/Life Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Project Management, Business, or related field
Minimum three (3) years experience in data analytics
4-6+ years of business analysis experience, including at least 2-3 years supporting Planisware or another enterprise PPM system
Preferred
Prior Experience implementing, administering, or configuring Planisware in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated R&D environment (clinical, regulatory, medical affairs domains)
Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Ability to simplify complex system concepts for non-technical audiences
Familiarity with PPM data models, integration patterns (e.g., CTMS, HRIS, financial systems), and portfolio reporting principles
Certifications: PMP, PMI PBA, CBAP, Agile/Scrum (CSM/PSM), or Planisware related training
