Responsibilities
Design mechanical components and assemblies with DFM/DFA principles
Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings (including GD&T)
Execute VAVE initiatives for cost reduction and performance improvement
Develop and review electrical drawings, wiring layouts, and functional diagrams
Manage CAD data, BOMs, and documentation in PLM systems
Support manufacturing through shop-floor testing, prototype builds, and issue resolution
Perform design validation, testing, and documentation of results
Coordinate with vendors and cross-functional teams (ME, Quality, Supply Chain)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
4+ years of experience in mechanical design and manufacturing engineering
Strong proficiency in UG NX, Teamcenter, and SolidWorks
Experience with VAVE, cost optimization, and design validation
Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and documentation
Knowledge of electromechanical systems and wiring diagrams
Hands-on experience with shop-floor testing and prototypes
Strong communication, problem-solving, and vendor coordination skills
Preferred
Experience with marine/boat component design
Familiarity with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and composites
Experience with PLM, QMS, SAP/OBMS systems
