They are seeking a Staff Accountant to support the firm's financial operations, responsible for general accounting and billing functions within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Execute accurate and timely client billing and invoicing processes as the Staff Accountant
Manage accounts receivable and lead follow-up on past-due balances
Partner with project managers to support monthly billing reviews
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate timesheet completion
Reconcile transactional, billing, and resource management data
Assist in resolving discrepancies across financial records and reports
Support project-related contract administration, including change orders and amendments
Assist with project close-outs to ensure all financial obligations are satisfied
Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for leadership
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualification
Required
Time-sheet billing experience is required
2-6 years of experience in a Staff Accountant, billing coordinator, or similar accounting role
Hands-on experience with billing and invoicing in a time-based professional services environment
Strong understanding of end-to-end billing workflows
Solid knowledge of GAAP
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Preferred
Experience in architecture, engineering, or professional services environments
Exposure to project-based accounting and contract-driven billing
CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred
