Qualification
Required
PhD or equivalent in training, education and/or experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, evolutionary biology, statistics, computer science, or a closely related field
Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publications in relevant scientific journals
Advanced expertise in statistical modeling, algorithm development, and large-scale genomic data analysis
Proven ability to work independently while thriving in collaborative, interdisciplinary environments
Preferred
Prior experience securing or contributing substantially to external research funding
Experience working with public health agencies, clinical datasets, or pathogen surveillance data
Demonstrated leadership in method development or software/tool creation
Evidence of effective mentorship of trainees or junior researchers
