Responsibilities
Propose and design novel or state-of-the-art (SOTA) machine learning algorithms, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and automation
Formulate research problems clearly, provide theoretical insights or empirical justification, and validate ideas through POCs and controlled experiments
Design and execute large-scale experiments to evaluate algorithmic trade-offs and system implications
Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure algorithms are system-aware, scalable, and production-impactful
Apply product thinking to research by prioritizing impact, robustness, and real-world ML system constraints
Contribute to system design and architectural decisions related to ML models, training pipelines, and evaluation frameworks
Develop and maintain high-quality research and system code, following best practices in code quality, testing, documentation, and collaborative development (e.g., code reviews, shared repositories)
Document and communicate research findings clearly to both research and engineering audiences
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or above in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, or a related field (or equivalent research experience)
Strong background in machine learning algorithms and deep learning
Proven ability to independently solve complex algorithmic and research problems
Experience designing, running, and analyzing experiments at scale
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong engineering skills, including experience writing clean, maintainable, and production-quality code and contributing to shared or long-lived codebases
Preferred
Publications in conferences or a strong internal research track record
Demonstrated experience bridging algorithm research and ML systems, including awareness of training efficiency, scalability, and deployment constraints
Experience working in applied or product-oriented research environments, translating research prototypes into robust, reusable implementations
