Senior Administrative Associate, Department of Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities
Manages all departmental Procurement Card (Procard) documentation for accuracy.Process monthly Procard (VP7) for all Mechanical Engineering (ME) department faculty and staff
Provide Procurement processing for the ME department. Process procurement-related documents affiliated with purchases, including purchase orders via UT Market, Point Plus, and Procard.Act as Procurement expert to provide advice and information to ensure Faculty are fully aware of their purchasing options to adhere to UT and ME procurement policy
Process monthly VP9 documents affiliated with eShipGlobal and IDT correction of Charges (VT6s) affiliated with Procard VP7s and VP9s (due to Master View issues)
Collaborates with the Inventory Coordinator to locate tagged items; this includes preparing the self-tagging form for ME inventory via the purchasing form. Other related functions as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field with three years of relevant experience
Experience with UT mainframe application and web modules
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working in an office environment
Demonstrated creative and analytical thinking
Experience with databases and working with confidential information
Extensive experience using Excel and Adobe Acrobat software and comfortable with other software applications
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the work to be performed
At least 2-3 years of experience at UT-Austin
