Task Force General Manager

Responsibilities
Provide on-site management support for hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance departments
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations by addressing immediate needs, resolving guest concerns, and supporting team members
Implement and uphold brand standards, operational policies, and procedures across all departments
Mentor, and motivate hotel staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Support hiring, onboarding, and training of team members as needed
Use tools, systems and applications without exception
Address team performance issues promptly and effectively, providing constructive feedback and coaching
Provide hands-on support for front office operations and/or other departments
Assist in implementing strategies to optimize revenue and control costs
Prepare reports and communicate key financial and operational metrics to property leadership and corporate teams
Maintain a strong presence in the lobby and public areas, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction
Address and resolve guest complaints or service issues promptly and professionally
Promote a culture of exceptional service, anticipating and exceeding guest expectations
Quickly assess and address operational challenges, such as staffing shortages, system failures, or emergencies
Develop and implement action plans to stabilize and improve operations during transitional periods
Travel to various hotel properties as assigned, often on short notice
Quickly adapt to different property sizes, brands, and operational structures
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hotel management experience, with a focus on operations
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, PMS systems) and Microsoft 365
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation and the ability to run off-property errands with minimal notice
Pre-employment background check required
Preferred
Prior task force or multi-property experience is highly desirable
Prior General Manager, Operations Manager or Assistant General Manager experience
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
