Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive restaurant product strategy that aligns with Clover’s overall mission, business priorities, and annual operating plan with P&L responsibility of ~$800M in annual revenue
Establish a clear restaurant product vision and roadmap, prioritizing features and functionalities based on market needs and business objectives and build senior leader alignment across the firm
Identify emerging trends and technological advancements in Payments / Business Solutions to stay ahead of the competition
Foster a community of data-informed decision making to remain true to the voice of the customer and the revenue goals and targets of the organization
Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of products and solutions that are reliable, scalable and secure and that maximizes impact for our customers, their diners and our business
Work closely with the product development team to define and prioritize feature enhancements and new product offerings tailored to the needs of the restaurant industry
Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to define product requirements, user stories, and features
Focus on creating exceptional user experiences by leading the design and user interface (UI) efforts through the product and design teams’ partnership. This will ensure that products are intuitive and visually appealing and provide a seamless user journey, resulting in customer satisfaction and loyalty
Must be able to translate product delivery and roadmap into revenue achievement / KPI management for this key vertical in the Clover business
Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth and expand market share within the restaurant vertical
Partner with Go to Market functions to align on roadmaps and develop ways of working that will drive value and accelerated sales in the Restaurant vertical
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including restaurant owners, industry associations, and technology partners
Collaborate with the product marketing team to develop compelling messaging and sales collateral to support sales efforts
Conduct thorough market research to identify customer pain points, preferences, and competitive landscape
Gather and analyze customer feedback and usage data to iteratively improve product offerings
Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product enhancements and new features
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention by delivering exceptional service and support to restaurant clients
Develop and implement strategies to proactively address customer needs and drive value through the Clover Platform and VAS
Act as a primary point of contact for key restaurant clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their success with our products and services
Lead and inspire a direct team of product managers to build best in class products through a structured and disciplined product management approach
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging creativity and continuous improvement
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, supporting their professional development
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support Clover Restaurant goals and objectives
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track progress against targets and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with finance and executive leadership to drive profitability and sustainable growth within the restaurant vertical
Communicate product updates, timelines, and priorities to key stakeholders
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product adoption, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth
Encourage a culture of innovation within the product team, fostering a mindset of experimentation and learning

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field preferred
Proven track record of at least 12 years in product management with a heavy focus in Restaurant
A strong background in payments, point-of-sale (PoS) technology, and the specific dynamics of vertical SaaS is essential
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data for decision-making
Demonstrated experience scaling products globally as Clover moves into new markets
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to drive product innovation and business growth

Preferred

Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
