Responsibilities
Supervise and review accounting activities for 2-14 large accounts, including account reconciliations and financial accuracy
Perform and oversee full-cycle accounting, including:
Accruals
General ledger maintenance
Account reconciliations
Month-end close
Capital expenditures (CapEx)
Special assessments
Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency, identifying gaps or risks even in low-risk areas
Assist with and implement review processes, establishing appropriate checks where reviews are not currently being performed
Analyze financial data to ensure standardization and completeness across accounts and reporting
Develop, enforce, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance
Set clear accounting standards and expectations, working closely with accountants to ensure processes are followed correctly
Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting staff to promote best practices and continuous improvement
Collaborate with management and other departments as needed to support business objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting
Strong understanding of reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end close
Proven ability to enforce procedures and establish consistent standards
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Effective communication and leadership abilities
Preferred
Prior experience in a supervisory or lead accounting role
