Responsibilities
Lead procurement efforts for all ingredients and packaging materials based on supplier lead times, inventory levels, and production schedules to maintain OTIF performance standards
Analyze and resolve chronic supplier and production issues through data-driven action plans
Use forecasting tools to align procurement with customer demands and sales trends
Collaborate with production, quality control, customer service, and strategic sourcing to ensure accurate scheduling and timely delivery
Generate production schedules and distribution orders across multiple departments and product lines
Oversee contract manufacturing relationships, performance tracking, and logistics coordination (including irradiation processes)
Report on key performance indicators: schedule adherence, OTIF, inventory discrepancies, and more
Promote a strong safety and compliance culture in alignment with company policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
At least 5 years' experience in procurement and scheduling functions in a supply chain role - preferably in food manufacturing
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies
Proficient in ERP systems and data analysis tools; knowledge of forecasting tools like John Galt is a plus
Proven track record of building high-performing teams and improving supply chain operations
