Responsibilities
Provide technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues
Develop highly capable manufacturing processes for new products
Revise existing processes to minimize risk
Design new fixturing and/or gages
Create 2D and 3D drawings (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor)
Oversee the verification of processes meeting the requirements of Engineering drawings
Actively participate in team-based problem solving and continuous improvement activities
Develop, evaluate, and implement employee suggestions and employee driven continuous improvement activities
Qualification
Required
Knowledge and experience with Lean manufacturing desired
Structured problem-solving skills
CAD experience, Autodesk desired
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
Tolerance stack up analysis
An understanding of non-machining process such as plating, coatings, welding and brazing
Understanding the complexities of 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC Machining
Effective communication and presentation skills
Manufacturing experience and/or machining experience desired
Excellent mechanical aptitude
Bachelor's degree in either Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and/or experience as a machinist
Minimum 3 years of experience in developing processes for the machining of various metallic or composite components
