Procurement Specialist 1
The State of Iowa - Executive Branch is seeking a Procurement Specialist 1 to support the Iowa Department of Transportation's Maintenance and Repair Shop operations. This role involves managing procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships to ensure fleet and equipment remain in top condition.

Responsibilities
Research & Procurement: Source parts and materials, compare pricing, and prepare quotes
Purchasing: Write requisitions, use P-Card for purchases, and maintain records
Order Fulfillment: Package and ship orders; resolve vendor issues
Inventory Management: Conduct inventories, reorder supplies, and organize stock
Financial Oversight: Manage accounts payable/receivable, reconcile statements, and enter data
Administrative Support: Answer phones, greet customers, and track project spending
Material Handling: Operate DOT vehicles and forklift for deliveries
Qualification
Required
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to perform basic math and inventory control
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Possess at the time of hire and maintain class C Operator driver's license
