Avionics Technician
Pinnacle Aviation is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to support their corporate aviation maintenance operation. This role involves the inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of advanced avionics systems on Challenger and Gulfstream aircraft operating under FAA regulations.
Responsibilities
Perform independent inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and alteration of aircraft avionics and electrical systems
Diagnose complex avionics discrepancies using schematics, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation
Install, modify, and repair avionics systems including flight deck displays, navigation, communication, surveillance, autopilot, flight control, sensor, and electrical power distribution systems
Accurately complete maintenance task cards, work orders, discrepancy write-ups, and logbook entries
Ensure all work meets internal quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and FAA regulatory requirements
Coordinate with inspection and quality teams to support internal and FAA audit requirements
Maintain working knowledge of FAA Parts 135 and 91 as applicable to avionics maintenance
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area in shops, hangars, and aircraft
Properly identify, tag, store, and safeguard aircraft components and customer property
Operate ground support equipment in accordance with SOPs (GPU, hydraulic units, lifts, forklifts, etc.)
Properly handle and dispose of fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids, solvents, and waste materials
Use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment; return items to designated storage after use
Assist with maintenance projects and support other technicians as needed
Assess assigned tasks and proactively identify required parts, materials, tooling, and documentation
Participate in initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Maintain professionalism when interacting with leadership, peers, vendors, and flight crews

Qualification
Required
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License — required
Minimum of 3 years corporate jet avionics or aviation maintenance experience
Ability to independently perform avionics inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex aircraft systems
Working knowledge of FAA Parts 135 and 91
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Must supply own basic hand tools (specialty tools provided as required)
Must comply with FAA-mandated drug and alcohol testing programs (pre-employment and random)
