5+ years expBPS CONSTRUCTION is seeking a skilled Machinist to set up, operate, and optimize CNC machining processes for aerospace components. The role requires independent work to identify and correct machining or programming issues before they impact production.

Responsibilities
Independently set up, operate, and run CNC machines (3- and/or 5-axis) with no assistance
Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure conformance to specifications
Make program edits at the machine and identify/correct programming errors
Detect and prevent machining issues related to tooling, setup, or code
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and process documentation
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues independently
Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and productivity
Support continuous improvement of machining processes
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualification
Required
5+ years of CNC machining experience (aerospace preferred)
Proven ability to complete full machine setups independently
Strong experience with part inspection and measurement (micrometers, calipers, indicators, CMM a plus)
Ability to modify and optimize CNC programs at the machine
Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and work holding
Ability to read and apply GD&T
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Aerospace manufacturing experience
Experience with 5-axis CNC machining
Familiarity with Mastercam or similar CAM software
Experience machining aluminum, titanium, and composite materials
Experience working in high- a process-driven manufacturing environment
