Director Commercial Operations
Hoxton Circle is seeking a global, executive level Global Commercial Director to build and lead a high-impact commercial function within a private equity–backed materials business. This role involves leading the company's commercial strategy, building and scaling the commercial organization, and establishing long-term relationships with key customers and partners.

Responsibilities
Lead and execute the company’s commercial strategy, including business development, key account management, and long-term customer partnerships
Build, structure, and scale the commercial organization, processes, and systems from inception
Own complex commercial negotiations and secure long-term, high-value supply agreements
Establish disciplined, repeatable frameworks for pricing, contracting, pipeline management, and customer engagement
Serve as the primary commercial interface with executive leadership, customers, and board stakeholders
Develop and maintain deep, long-term relationships with strategic customers and partners
Present clearly and credibly to senior executives, investors, and customers with strong business acumen and professional polish
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, technical, finance, and legal teams to ensure commercial alignment
Drive demand planning, revenue forecasting, and strategic market positioning
Represent the organization externally with professionalism and authority
Qualification
Required
15–25+ years of commercial leadership experience in high-volume materials or industrial sectors
Background in battery materials, lithium, performance materials, chemicals, upstream energy, or related industries
Proven success securing $20M+ individual customer contracts
Experience building or rebuilding commercial organizations
Comfortable operating independently while scaling teams
Highly polished communicator with strong executive presence
MUST be ok with frequent travel (30% - 50%), both domestic (mostly) and international (Asia, LatAM, EU)
MUST be willing to relocate to new HQ in 1-2 years
Preferred
Experience working with private equity and board is nice to have, not required
