InternEastRise Credit Union is seeking an Accounting Intern to support their financial operations within the banking and credit intermediation sector. This role provides hands-on experience in accounting functions, including financial reporting and data analysis, while collaborating with experienced professionals to gain insights into accounting processes.

Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports
Support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Participate in the reconciliation of accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed
Help with the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior accounting staff
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Foundational knowledge of accounting principles
Attention to detail
Strong analytical skills
Communication skills
Proficiency in software tools
Must be at least 18 years of age
Favorable Background, Credit, Criminal, Bondability, and Reference Checks required
Preferred
Previous internship or work experience in an accounting or finance role
Familiarity with accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks or Excel
Junior or Senior class standing
