Start in 2026 SummerFirst Solar is leading the world’s sustainable energy future, and they are seeking a Reliability Intern for the Summer 2026. The intern will support equipment development projects, execute experiments, assist with reliability testing, and present their findings to the leadership team.

Responsibilities
Support new test and characterization equipment development projects consisting of concept development, specification development, experimentation, gauge R&R and data analysis and scripting
Execute planned experiments and equipment qualification testing. Includes collecting, analysing data and reporting results
Assist with the different in-house and outdoors module reliability testing and activities
Write work/test instructions
Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in BS electrical or mechanical engineering program required
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Power Point
General electrical/electronic knowledge
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Self-directed, proactive approach to problem solving
Good written and oral communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Preferred
Basic programming experience recommended but not required
Strain Measurements and Data Acquisition experience recommended but not required
