Corporate FSQ Systems Manager
Blount Fine Foods is seeking a Corporate FSQ Systems Manager to lead the development and implementation of Food Safety and Quality programs. The role involves managing cross-functional initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulations, and overseeing FSQ documentation and corrective actions across facilities.

Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of corporate Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) programs, ensuring alignment with SQF standards, policies and procedures, and full compliance with USDA and FDA regulations
Manage cross-functional initiatives to evaluate and enhance FSQ systems, including internal and third-party audits across all Blount facilities, and ensure effective implementation of corrective actions
Oversee teams in product hold programs, liaising with regulatory officials, and investigations into root cause of customer complaints and measures to prevent recurrence
Provide centralized oversight of FSQ documentation, including policy development and management of SharePoint libraries
Lead validation and verification of food safety control points and product quality policies across sites, and design and execute scientific studies using tools such as VIDAS immunoanalyzer, TEMPO enumeration system, and ComBase for predictive risk modeling
Utilize tools such as Power BI, SafetyChain, TraceGains, and Minitab to generate key performance indicator (KPI) reports
Analyze customer complaint trends using SQL Server Reporting Services and the Astute Agent platform to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement
As the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), oversee and support product commercialization through raw material risk assessments and verification of HACCP compliance and team meetings, using data from TraceGains and the Sage X3 ERP system
Serve as the QA liaison to both external vendors and contract manufacturers by conducting audits, monitoring complaint trends, and managing corrective action processes
Manage customer relationships by ensuring all required documentation is provided through customer portals and maintaining open communication on FSQ-related matters
Collaborate on corporate projects and initiatives, applying strong project management skills to ensure regulatory readiness and consistent execution of FSQ objectives across all facilities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Food Science, or a related field
2 years experience as Food Science Technician (QA), Food Scientist/Technologist, First-Line Supervisor of Production, or related occupation
2 years experience working with SQF, policies and procedures of the facility to audit, inspect and ensure compliance with procedures
Experience in meetings pertaining to food safety and product quality, including HACCP team meetings
Experience with product quality and food safety control points
Experience with product hold program
Experience liaising with regulatory officials
Experience in investigations into root cause of customer complaints and measures to prevent recurrence
