Responsibilities
Oversee the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate consolidated balance sheets and management accounts
Manage group cashflow, ensuring efficient cash management through optimisation of cash collections and improved management and visibility of accounts payable
Be responsible for Balance sheet integrity, ensuring robust reconciliation and balance sheet review processes are adhered to
Support M&A integration processes, managing the consolidation and acquisition accounting is accurately reflected in the group management accounts
Implement and monitor robust financial controls and procedures for business operations
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in all financial operations
Liaise with external auditors and management of the audit process
Support process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
Support budgeting forecasting and financial planning processes
Contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives by providing financial and accounting advice, direction and leadership to the operations teams, other finance team members and senior leadership teams
Manage current and future FX risk
Own the production of timely and accurate management accounts, at profit centre, legal entity and consolidated levels
Provide insightful finance advice to support strategic decision making
Work in collaboration with the Head of FP&A and Operational Finance to ensure complete, accurate and timely MI reporting
Successfully complete all identified training both in-house and external, as required
Assist with any other duties reasonably requested and in line with the requirements of the post
Have line management and functional responsibility for assigned team
Qualification
Required
Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail
Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role, ideally within a multi-entity, multi-currency group organisation, ideally in a private-equity owned structure
Advanced excel and strong analytical capabilities
Experience with ERP Systems
Proven experience leading, developing and mentoring finance team members
Process and Systems improvement focused
Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
Confident communicator, comfortable communicating at all levels of the organisation
Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage stakeholders at senior leadership and board level
Preferred
Experience with Microsoft D365 (Desirable)
