Contract Internal Recruiter

Major, Lindsey & Africa is seeking an Internal Recruiting Professional responsible for overseeing the recruiting process for internal positions. Responsibilities

Develop strong working relationships with hiring managers and practice leaders
Develop and execute recruiting plans
Identify, contact and recruit outstanding candidates (active and passive) to fill open positions for assigned positions
Use a variety of recruitment practices and strategies to develop a pool of high caliber candidates to fill open positions
Builds a network of qualified passive candidates
Qualify and screen candidates
Present qualified and interested candidates to the hiring managers for consideration
Manage the interview process for each candidate
Use technology to track candidates through the interview process
Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
Perform quarterly reporting and ad-hoc project work as required
Conduct regular follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
Post positions to appropriate Internet sites
Assist the IR team and Marketing to improve the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting and establish a recognizable 'employer of choice' reputation for the company, both internally and externally
Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment
Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates
Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates
Create contacts within industry
Maintain and champion MLA’s commitment to diversity and our other core values of integrity, quality, respect and leadership
This position does not require significant travel

Required

Bachelor's degree required
A minimum of 3+ years recruiting industry experience or recruiting role is ideal
Heavy candidate sourcing experience required
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to work well in teams
Experience working in a fast paced and high growth environment
Experience gained in an environment that champions quality, attention to detail and service

Preferred

Graduate degree or JD preferred
Prior legal industry or professional services recruiting experience preferred
Proven track record of recruiting professional level professionals is preferred (direct experience recruiting attorneys or recruiting recruiters is a plus but not required)
Track record of success in managing the full search process, from candidate identification to offer negotiations is preferred
Experience conducting research in a search environment
Exposure to various sourcing methods, including cold-calling
Knowledge of best recruiting practices
Experience successfully contacting and building relationships with highly motivated and well educated professionals
