Responsibilities
Lead enterprise application migration from legacy/on-prem (AS400, traditional platforms) to GCP
Design cloud-native & hybrid architectures using GCP best practices
Architect solutions using Cloud Run, GKE, Compute Engine, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud SQL
Implement API-led architectures using Apigee API Management
Build application modernization roadmaps using Java & C# (microservices, API-first design)
Develop and govern CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry
Apply Google Cloud Well-Architected Framework principles
Ensure security, compliance, reliability, and cost optimization
Present architecture solutions to CxOs, Directors, Engineering Leads
Create architecture diagrams, whitepapers, migration strategies, and runbooks
Provide training and enablement to internal technical teams
Collaborate across DevOps, Infrastructure, Product, and Business teams
Qualification
Required
12–15+ years of overall IT experience
Strong experience migrating enterprise applications to GCP
4+ years in application architecture (cloud, distributed systems, software development)
2+ years hands-on experience architecting on Google Cloud Platform
Customer-facing architecture experience with executive and engineering stakeholders
Strong ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent experience
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architecture
Google Professional Cloud Architect – Certification Required
Application migration & modernization
Java & C# (hands-on)
Apigee API Management
GitHub (PRs, branching, collaboration)
CI/CD automation & DevOps
Cloud Run, GKE, containerized deployments
IAM, VPC, load balancing, encryption, Cloud Interconnect
