Part-Time Research Assistant - Schilder Lab

Assist with colony rearing, data collection (e.g., climbing performance, energetics, protein expression), and analysis and interpretation of results
Present their work at the Undergraduate Research Fair and Exhibition and the Eberly College of Science Fall Poster Exhibition
Qualification
Required
Current Penn State employee or student, or external applicant
Ability to conduct experiments related to chronic bacterial infection and locomotor performance in fruit flies
Experience with colony rearing, data collection, and analysis
Ability to present work at the Undergraduate Research Fair and Exhibition and the Eberly College of Science Fall Poster Exhibition
Time commitment of 60 hours throughout the project duration (01/30/2026 - 06/15/2026)
Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies
