COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

The Community Development Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the regional substance use prevention coalition by facilitating community engagement and coordinating prevention initiatives.

Responsibilities

Facilitating task force meetings and supporting coalition workgroups to ensure alignment with strategic goals
Assisting with program logistics, including placing program orders and managing supplies
Providing technical support for virtual and in-person meetings, presentations, and events
Organizing and implementing public awareness campaigns focused on substance use prevention and community wellness
Delivering evidence-based prevention education to schools, youth groups, and community organizations
Conducting community outreach to build partnerships and increase coalition visibility
Attending community meetings and events to represent the coalition and gather insights on local needs
Preparing reports and documentation to track progress, outcomes, and community impact

Required

Education - BA/BS and/or three to five years related experience and/or training
License - Valid NJ Driver's License in good standing
