Responsibilities
Process vehicle certificate of title and registration applications. This includes the collection, compilation, and review of information and documentation from multiple sources prior to making decisions. Verify appropriate documentation of sales tax forms and information. Enter and validate fuel tax returns
Communicate via telephone and email with interstate trucking customers, banks, county officials, other state agencies, and agents. Answer public phone calls and assist in-person customers
Receive payments from customers, including daily reconciliation
Receive and log incoming mail and distribution
Process and issue vehicle registrations and license plates, fuel tax permits and decals, and certificates of title
Qualification
Required
Coursework, training, or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency
Business administration
Accounting
Customer service
Technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management
Some positions may require experience and/or training that is unique to the work assigned
A valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation
Criminal history background checks and other specific background check protocols for their agency
