Responsibilities
Reconciles complex bank account transactions against the General Ledger
Provides a list of outstanding checks and reconciling items to all necessary departments
Helps optimize cash/payable duration
Maintains and develops various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all of Finance during the planning processes
Ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review
Understands and facilitates the integration of business processes, people, and relevant technology
Identifies, configures, and communicates useful information
Provides practical business leadership to drive business decision making across the company
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert
Serves as a resource and mentor for other staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
5 years of industry experience within: healthcare, health plan, managed care or adjacent
Payment processing, Financial monthly close, General Ledger Documentation, ERP experience
Demonstrable logical thinking
A strong understanding of GAAP accounting/reporting
Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
Familiarity with finance databases
Up to date with accounting laws and regulations
Excellent analytical skills and attention to details
Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
