GE Vernova Time-Series Foundation Models Research Intern - Summer 2026
GE Vernova is driving strategy and leading research & development efforts to help power the energy transition. The role involves researching, developing, and testing foundation models for time-series data aimed at energy systems, including gas turbines and power grids.

Responsibilities
Research, develop, and test TSFMs for energy systems, such as gas turbines, wind turbines and power grid
Conduct research on transformer-based architectures, model training and validation, and hyperparameter optimization over multiple GPUs
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a PhD or a master's degree in AI, Computer Science, Estimation and Control Theory or related fields
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
Minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0 scale or 3.0/4.0 scale
Strong background on AI/ML and knowledge and experience working with time-series data
Research on transformer-based architectures, model training and validation, and hyperparameter optimization over multiple GPUs

Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
